In April, the NC Women’s Hospital education team purchased a Gaumard Scientific “Victoria” for UNC. This tetherless obstetric simulator was purchased at the end of 2014 for use in various educational and quality improvement projects.
The team requested name suggestions from members of the NC Women’s Hospital faculty and staff. We are pleased to announce the naming of “ELSA” or Education, Life size, Simulation, Adult.
The name ELSA was suggested by Latonya Williams. On May 27th, Nurse Simulationist Nicole Jung presented Williams with a $20.00 Star bucks card for picking the winning name. Thank you Latonya!
