ASPE_2016_KewanaLast week, Ms Messina and Ms Smith from the School of Medicine’s Clinical Skills and Patient Simulation Center (CSPSC) team attended the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) meeting in Tampa, Florida.

There was strong interest from the group for Ms Smith’s abstract describing the gamification of standardized patient training. Her poster described a “Jeopardy” style method of improving adherence to the portrayal of clinical symptoms and information.

In addition to the posters by CSPSC team, Ms Messina proudly presented the work for Ms Gayatri Rathod. Ms Rathod was one of the learners in the inaugural semester of the “Introduction to Medical Simulation” course offered by the School of Medicine (CBIO 400).
