The most recent issue of Medical Training Magazine “features interviews with healthcare training leaders who answer questions on how simulation, allied with modern training practices can make major improvements to patient outcomes, save lives and save money.”

UNCsim’s own Dr. Carol Durham is one of the leaders interviewed. She touched on the importance of team training utilizing tools such as TeamSTEPPS as well as strong methodology for education and quality improvement such as the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) has developed the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: SimulationSM.

Dr. Durham is a Professor in the UNC School of Nursing and Director of the school’s Education-Innovation-Simulation Learning Environment (EISLE) center.
