Dr. Shea in the foreground leading an OSCE with PCCM fellow Dr. Dexter.

Dr. Shea joined the NC Children’s faculty in November as a part of the Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) division and wasted no time in joining in the cardiology block simulations for the School of Medicine. Later in the month he was assisting with UNC’s first Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination).

Dr. Shea joins us from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia where he served as the Chair of Code Blue and member of the trauma committee. He lead many simulation activities as Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Sub-Internship including directing the Resident Longitudinal Simulation Curriculum, Resident Mock Code Curriculum, and leading monthly the Interdisciplinary Mock Code Curriculum.

Welcome to UNCsim Paul! We are really looking forward seeing much more of you in the coming months and years!
