On August 1st, Michelle Manchir, of the American Dental Association, published an article on the poverty simulations Dr. Lampiris holds for dental students.
Manchir describes Lampiris’ work with dental students utilizing the simulation to increase their understanding of the challenges faced by families in poverty. The learners are faced with normal situations and decisions for families living in poverty and see the real consequences for their decisions. This session provides valuable insight into the lives of the patients these learners will interact with in the future.
