Dr. Carolyn Quinsey has returned to UNC following a Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship and takes the reigns as Director of the Neurosurgery Skull Base Lab. The lab is part of the Miracles in Sight Surgical Skills Laboratory.

The new curriculum she is leading builds core didactic knowledge utilizing 3D glasses for anatomy. This session is followed up with everything from basic neurosurgical skills to complex approaches with task trainers and anatomical models. The photo is from the second session where the team concentrated on Chiari malformations, a C1 Laminectomy, and Suboccipital decompressions.
