The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA) meeting was held this year in Phoenix. UNC’s own Dr Peggy McNaull was the meeting Co-Chair and put together an amazing program.
Drs Kim Blasius, Matthew McDaniel, and Benny Joyner (Peds Critical Care, Clinical Director School of Medicine UNCsim) were joined by UNC Anesthesia Alum Chelsea Willie and clinicians from other active simulation programs to present workshops on simulation and debriefing techniques.
Dr Blasius also assisted with the Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesia (MOCA) course offered by the SPA.
Dr Mathew presented one abstract on work with critical event management in remote locations for our pediatric sedation service.
