Dr Dinesh Manocha of UNC Computer science was awarded an SBIR with Drs Deanna Sasaki-Adams and Matthew Ewend of the Department of Neurosurgery. Their project entitled “Approach-Specific, Multi-GPU, Multi-tool, High-realism Neurosurgery Simulation” was funded by National Institutes of Health.

“The long-term objective of the proposed study is to reduce the incidence of falls and fall-related injuries among community-dwelling older adults by utilizing community pharmacies to increase older adult engagement in falls prevention efforts.”
