Durham_IPTThe National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) released “The National Simulation Study” in 2014. This landmark study, provided evidence that up up to 50% of traditional clinical practice could be replaced with a simulation experience in the prelicensure nursing curriculum.

The NCSBN convened an expert panel, that included UNC’s own Dr. Carol Durham, to evaluate the NCSBN study and other relevant work and produce national simulation guidelines for prelicensure nursing programs. The results of this evaluation have just been published:
