The 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) were release today. The guidelines replace the 2010 AHA Guidelines on pediatric Basic Life Support (BLS) for several key issues related to pediatric BLS.
UNCsim’s own Dr. Benny Joyner is one of the co-authors for “Part 11: Pediatric Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Quality: 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care”. Their team, lead by Dr. Dianne L. Atkins at The University of Iowa, began drafting these updates in 2014.
