On Saturday March 5th, the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health is hosting a “Innovating Global Public Health for Complex Emergencies Workshop”.
Many educators from the UNCsim community will be a part of this workshop. They will be discussing past, current and future progress within many programs around UNC and the world.
Here is an overview of the event: The workshop showcases innovations for working in complex emergencies and aim to support health professionals in gaining the knowledge and skills needed in complex settings. This workshop follows a symposium the School of Global Public Health hosted last October and seeks to expose and engage students, staff, faculty members, ER physicians/nurses, first responders, and military personnel, among others, in the use of virtual reality, simulation training, data collection, analysis, mental health, community engagement, etc., in complex man-made or natural disasters/emergencies.
