School of Medicine and Department of Pediatrics Director of Simulation, Gene Hobbs, CHSE, was recently interviewed by Mary Holtschneider, Med, MPA, BSN, RN-BC, NREMT-P, CPLP for an article in the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development. The interview centered on the use of standardized patients in pediatric clinical environments. The article can be found online here.

Ms. Holtschneider is Simulation Education Coordinator and Co-Director, Interprofessional Advanced Fellowship in Clinical Simulation, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Durham VA Medical Center, North Carolina. Her regular column in the journal began in 2013 to bring simulation techniques into the hands of nurse educators.
