U.S. Representative Renee Ellmers visited the School of Nursing May 7. Ellmers, who was a nurse for 21 years, attended a roundtable lunch with students and a demonstration of the EISLE team’s simulation facilities.
She was joined on her tour by Don Curtis, chair of the UNC Board of Trustees External Relations committee, and Dr. Donna Havens, Interim Dean and professor of the School of Nursing.
The “Noelle” simulator seen in the image to the right is an obstetrical simulator used to simulate normal births as well as births involving various complications.
