Earlier this month the Department of Pediatrics and School of Medicine hosted an event for some of UNC’s scholar athletes. The following excerpt from the article provides an overview of the event.
“On Nov. 10, a group of 32 Carolina student-athletes attended “mini medical school” as part of their participation in Leadership Lab, a Richard A. Baddour Carolina Leadership Academy program that gives participants more opportunities to hone their leadership skills. Tar Heels from 13 teams spent the evening learning from some commendable leaders: the physicians of UNC Children’s Hospital.”
